This package will make 1 gallon of solution but I like to divide it up and make smaller batches (once mixed with water please store in the fridge till used up or for 2 weeks then dispose of it). If you will take a tablespoon measure and divide this package into 4 equal parts each part will make a quart and if you need a smaller quantity then further divide that to make pints. Once you have divided up the powder then add it to the amount of water needed, for example if you are using 1/4 of the package you would add it to 1 quart of water.
Break down of dosage
1 package of powder will make 1 gallon of solution
1/2 package of powder will make 1/2 gallon of solution
1/4 package of powder will make 1 quart of solution and so on
Goat dosage
1cc of solution per 5lbs of goats for day 1 and 1 cc of solution per 10 lbs of goat for days 4 thru 5 as a prevention (spring and fall each year)
1cc of solution per 5 lbs of goats for 10 days as a treatment if you have an active case of cocci
For every 4 goats being treated add the needed amount of solution to 1 gallon of water along with 1 packet of koolaide and 1 cup of sugar and stir well. Put this solution out each morning as the only source of water until completely consumed. If they drink it all before the 24 hours is up then put out a bucket of plain water till time to put out a new bucket of solution water.
This is how I treat and prevent coccidiosis for my herd and does not replace vet care. If you are unsure of how to treat your goats please consult your vet.
